ተከታታይ ቁጥሮች | Serial Numbers
Each banknote bears a unique serial number that exhibits a black-to-green fluorescence when viewed under ultraviolet (UV) light.
መለያ ምልክት | Identification Mark
A tactile recognition feature allows visually impaired individuals to identify the denomination of the Birr through touch.
አንጸባራቂ ምልክት | Reflective Symbol
Tilt the banknote to observe the SPARK feature — a bright, color-shifting patch that moves as the note is rotated.
የገዥ ፊርማ | Governor Signature
Circulating banknotes bear the signature of the serving Governor at the time of issuance.
የደህንነት ገመድ | Security Ribbon
When tilted, the security thread changes color and reveals inscriptions such as “NBE” and the denomination.
ውሃ ምልክት | Watermark
When held up to the light, a faint watermark matching the main portrait becomes visible.
ትይዩ ምልክት | See-Through Feature
When held to the light, the front and back symbols align perfectly at the same position.
ፍሎረሰንት ምልክት | Fluorescent Feature
Under UV light, a fluorescent mark appears on the lion’s head and shifts to a yellowish color.

የገዠ ፊርማ | Governor Signature
በስርጭት ላይ ያሉ የብር ኖቾች የብሔራዊ ባንክ ገዢ ፊርማዎች አሏቸው።

ነጭ ርግብ | White Dove
በ 200 ብር ላይ የሚታይ ነጭ ርግብ ሰላምን እና የኢትዮጵያ ለሰላም ፍላጎትን ያመላክታል።
The white dove represents Ethiopia’s enduring aspiration for peace and national unity.

የግዕዝ ፊደል | Ge’ez Symbol
የኢትዮጵያ 200 ብር ኖትላይ የሚገኝ አመላካች የግዕዝ ቁጥር ነው።
The Ge’ez numeral featured on the note reflects Ethiopia’s ancient script and cultural heritage.

ዋልያ አይቤክስ | Walia Ibex
ከ200 ብር በስተጀርባ የሚታየይ ዋልያ አይቤክስ ፣ በሰሜን ኢትዮጵያ የሚገኝ አስደናቂ እና የተለየ የዱር እንስሳ ሲሆን፣ የኢትዮጵያ ተፈጥሯዊ ቅርስን ይወክላል።
The Walia Ibex on the reverse side signifies Ethiopia’s rare wildlife and ecological pride.
